He is extremely proficient in both armed and unarmed combat, specifically SEAL CQB and Krav Maga, and can also speak seven foreign languages (i.e. Russian, Korean, Arabic, German, Chinese, Persian and Spanish) as well as understand a wide variety of other languages. When possible, Fisher operates almost exclusively at night and prefers to work alone in the field.

He was also one of Sam's closest friends

Anna Grmsdttir-
Grmsdttir has helped Third Echelon with her work as a civilian computer/SIGINT (SIGnals INTelligence) technician throughout several different missions including the NATO bombings of Yugoslavia in 1999, the Checkmate incident in 2003, the Georgian Information Crisis in 2004, the Indonesian Crisis in 2006, and the Cyber Attacks/East Asian Crisis of 2007. She was also one of few people able to communicate with Fisher during missions. She was an extremely useful asset for the agency during the information warfare attacks that took place in 2007.

Considering this to be a violation of Article 9 of the post-World War II Constitution, Chinese and North Korean forces establish a blockade in the Yellow Sea against Japanese shipping. Because Japan is an ally of the United States and Third Echelon, the U.S. Navy dispatches its most advanced warship, the USS Clarence E. Walsh, to the Yellow Sea with the hope that China and North Korea will back down.

4.Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials

The game starts off in the year 2009, after the events of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Fisher is arrested at this grave site, taken into custody and interrogated. During this time, Sam recalls past events, that are then played as missions.

5.Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent

The two versions of the game feature different plot lines. They share many of the same locations, but with completely different level designs and in a different order.
Shortly after the events of Chaos Theory, Sam Fisher must deal with the recent loss of his daughter to a drunk driving accident. But he has little time to mourn, as he soon has to go on an undercover assignment which requires him to pose as a criminal in order to infiltrate a terrorist group based in the United States. This new mission forces Fisher into a new and very dangerous gray area, where the line between right and wrong is blurred even beyond what Fisher is used to, and thousands of innocent lives are in the balance.

At the time, Anna "Grim" Grmsdttir, Sam's former colleague contacts him and warns him of the imminent attack of a group of hitmen. Having slain them, Sam goes after their contractor, Andriy Kobin, a drug runner who was responsible for Sarah's death. He infiltrates Kobin's mansion, slays Kobin's guards and interrogates Kobin, but Sam is captured by a Third Echelon splinter cell strike team before being able to extract anything useful.
