Literature of the week

In this contest participants are to write an entry, with the soft limit of 600 words, in accordance with the current theme.

This week's theme is

"Haiku: Spring"

To elaborate further...
For a poem to be called a Haiku it needs three things

It needs to be structurally divided into three verses of 5, 7 and 5 syllables each
It needs to have a cut Be divided into two independent but connected parts. Usually cut with a ;, - or any sentence ender.
It needs to have a seasonal theme. In this case spring.

Since it's dangerous to syllable alone you should take this http://www.syllablecount.com/

If you wish to contend you must:

Post in this thread letting me know of your intentions to participate.
Send me your entry with the title: "Literature of the week #32 "

The criteria on which your work will be judged is:

Creativity
Originality
Impact on the reader

Idea must be original. Nobody likes a thief! :stare
Entries must not be Vulgar, Erotic or Offensive. :tsktsk:

Ah... and i had to hold down myself from not raging at Kylo for sending me an entry with #3 (https://www.opbforums.com/forums/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=3) instead of #9 (https://www.opbforums.com/forums/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=9) . I thought he was making fun of me for repeating the #3 (https://www.opbforums.com/forums/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=3) .

Well... glad that's settled! :bm

Better days will come, do not lose hope :p
Since we had haiku this week, next week theme will probably be a short story again.

Actually there is a theme list in LotW Future Themes Discussion/suggestions (https://www.opbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?29215-LotW-Future-Themes-Discussion-Suggestions) where you can see the upcoming themes. So the next one is either "Saved by the Hero" or "There's been a Murder" - ask Gir which1 will it be and write now :p

But it's not like anyone reads Gir posts :ignore:

Lol pls no murder :p

My first stories so far have been about being eaten by a monster, escaping during war, Jon Snow (:maybe), policeman chases criminal with intent to kill, crazy guy getting himself killed, guy in a coma, woman spares her victim after poisoning him.
So much death!

I wanna write something happier! Or more fantasy driven.

Heh... previous five entries were about short stories. Your timing is off. :p

You can check The Gallery (https://www.opbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?29217-LOTW-Entries-Gallery) to see what previous contests were about. Usually I accept both poems and stories as entries unless rules specifically say otherwise. Like now.

To be fair i did give you chances to write about sunshine and rainbows several times...
