its really grim and dark

also i brought up horror movies because I know you like them and I have seen quite a lot of korean horrors lately (I'd say oldboy was horror just for the twist with the love interest at the end). it had action scenes but these were usually gorey af and the insects crawling in his skins etc. kind of a mind torture horror movie

i saw the devil is just straight up horror at points with what happens. the acting was top notch tho

bediveled is definetely the most straight up horror, but it takes time to build up. It's definetely more of a slasher tho towards the end

I saw the devil is about a serial killer who murdered the wife of an agent.

It's told from both perspectives. The serial killer murdering/raping people while the agent repeatedely catches him and tortures him.

More of a thriller horror, but I found it amazing. Also great acting

Oldboy as well, but less graphic

And another great movie i watched was bedivelled another korean horror movie. The actress goes through something which is worse than torturing her
