    ✖ Island Takeover

    [GUIDE] Island Takeover

Island Takeover missions are a series of five objectives needed in order to take over an island. Island Takeover can be done by almost any rank at any time, and benefits will be received based on what the island is and where it's located. This process has a varying number of requirements, including:

Four Blues: 10,000 Words Total, Rank 2+, NPC Battle

    North Blue: Rank 4 NPC
    East Blue: Rank 4 NPC
    South Blue: Rank 5 NPC
    West Blue: Rank 6 NPC

Grand Line: 13,000 Words Total, Rank 6+, NPC Battle

New World: 16,000 Words Total, Rank 10+, NPC Battle

Island Takeover is treated as a Story Arc, meaning you don't have to do every Objective all at once in a single FR, rather, you are free to do them as needed as long as it falls under one major story arc. Additionally, a crew is allowed to take over an island as long as it has been approved. Make sure that you message a Narrator before starting, as each objective is subjective to the island you're taking over.

It should also be noted that Island Takeover missions can't be done "retroactively", meaning if you did something like killing a president in a previous FR without it being explicitly stated as a political objective, it does not count. Upon successful completion of an Island Takeover, all participants will receive the following rank increases (as calculated by the Marine Rank equivalent):

Four Blues: Varying between 0.5 and 0.7

    North Blue: +0.5
    East Blue: +0.5
    South Blue: +0.6
    West Blue: +0.7

    Grand Line: +0.9

    New World: +1

    [GUIDE] Player Controlled NPC's

Player controlled NPC's come in a variety of presentations. The most common of them being the Fodder NPC we all control in our free roams. These require no special permission or awards and are incredibly relaxed in what they can and can't do. The next case is the Companion type NPC which are reoccurring characters in your story which you use to progress you plot. These NPC are similar to the fodder NPC as they don't battle and are mainly used for story. They can develop into official NPC's like Keotsu's Gundyr or Gecko's Xanxus character. At this point you as a player relinquish primary control and share it with the staff. Special permission is needed for these to occur. The last two classes of NPC's are Standard and Special.
